Kum Sunqu Born November 12th, 2023

 Arrived as a thunderbolt, to be a ray of light and leave a mark on the earth. He brought a message deeper than anyone could fathom. In his short life of 16 months he was a messenger of faith. He came to remind us the Miracle that life is in every moment, beyond achieving any outcome. He touched hearts from all cultures, places, and religions, and connected them in one prayer - the prayer of tending to our broken hearts and weaving our hearts through solidarity even in the midst of the war, to support and accompany one another and remember our souls' mission.

Hello to all the hearts that have beat in sync to this same song!

Thank you for the unity shown in accompanying baby Kum and our family on the deepest journey of our lives, which we recognize is just a part of the living body that we all are.

Even in this deep vulnerability, we feel it necessary to share the decision that has become clear after careful consultation and that has revealed this complex path we are now walking.

Beyond this decision being made by "us," it came after much listening, observation, and several confirmations of what life is presenting to us.

Although very painful and challenging, it is clear that Kum Sunqu's path is his return to the source of love so that his soul may fly freely to its next origin, and for us as a family to accompany him in dying when it is Divine will.

It could be days…weeks, we don't know…

From a clinical point of view, there are already symptoms that are beginning to appear.

Meanwhile, we are letting go, surrendering, and trusting, with every tear, every smile, every moment, every breath.

Our focus is on presence in each shared breath, while we care for him and our daughter Aiawa with total dedication to the process, with all the love and energy that each day demands more of, and learning from each moment what he comes to leave us in the most beautiful fruits we have ever known…

Despite the unimaginable pain and the intensity of this experience, we still feel gratitude for this great gift he give us of allowing us to accompany him.

There are many layers of feeling in this process that we live and will continue to live, and eventually share… in that, we wanted to tell you that this journey to the depths of the heart continues and in that a great call to give our son the best possible experience while he accompanies us on his visit to this plane, and thus honor and give thanks for the offering of life he has given and the treasure of reminding us of pure love.

Kum loves being in nature, and our purpose is to give him what he most enjoys during his time on this earth.

We will continue to let ourselves be guided by him day by day, feeling how these possibilities will manifest through these experiences, and thus live them as a beautiful mourning that draws a beautiful path for when he takes his flight to the stars and back to the great mystery.

So, we appreciate the solidarity of those who can continue supporting and being part of this story, sharing our purpose, and we invite you to co-create these possibilities with us in different ways.

1. We continue praying for Kum's soul and for our family, and all the hearts that are woven into this living body, so that his soul may fly in peace and with all our love and we may have the capacity to bathe in the nectar of what he leaves with his eternal presence.

2. Support our cause and continue sharing to have the resources to sustain this time we have left with him and give him a natural burial. We are still finding out details.

We want to fulfill as much of his will as possible, which is shown as a journey through the special places he will continue to show us he wants to visit.

3. Co-create these experiences with us in different ways, which if they call to you, we can weave possibilities, co-creating a meeting in your community or visiting us are possibilities that we are open to seeing what is naturally woven in this time.

4. Support our initiatives and projects by participating or buying what we have to offer, which is also part of what Kum is leaving as a seed for everyone (such as the virtual circles that we will be sharing in which we will share the teachings that we have integrated from this sacred experience and how to go through these painful processes in the best possible way). You can also donate time = energy to create this with us.

Hello family,

Here telling you about the complex moment that Daniel B. González & Sofia Moon are going through in their family, first thanking you for your presence and taking a moment to read this surreal story that we are going to share with you.

This has been a great surprise, a being of light came to the family who came to teach us so much that despite how difficult it has been, all of those who have accompanied us closely feel very honored to be in his presence.

We wrote this short summary to tell you a little about this story and in this way be able to make a call thanking those who can and feel like giving, and those who have given and continue to give.

On November 12, Kūm Sūnqū (the thunder, the lightning, that flash of light from the heart) landed on earth at 3:31 AM, born from the womb of his mother Sofia Moon and accompanied by his father Daniel B. Gonzalez. The family was preparing for a natural birth at home until the moment when Sofia's sudden bleeding began, this led the family to have to emergency move from Filandia, Quindio to Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

With little finances, health difficulties in the mother, a 17-month-old baby who is their first child, they discovered that the new baby came with a threat of high-risk and premature birth, so with the exams they verified that baby KĹ«m was unfortunately presenting difficulties in his growth and he came with a malformation in his heart, which led them to the emergency room and having a cesarean delivery at 35 weeks.

This triggered a sequence of examinations at the baby's birth in which they discovered:

* Aortic hypoplasia and coarctation

(Atrophy of the aortic artery and blockage in it)

*Hypoplasia of the left ventricle

(atrophy of the left side of the heart)

*Hypoplasia of the right pulmonary aorta

(Right pulmonary artery atrophy)

* Right lung hypoplasia

(atrophy of the left side of the heart) 

Those who understand more about the medical arts, anatomy and physiognomy explain to us that he practically arrived with half a heart, half a lung and kidneys in a horseshoe, currently they keep open the venous artery through which he was fed in the mother's womb with prostin a medication that temporarily sustains him until the surgical intervention is achieved, which must be done within the next 3 weeks until the baby already has an optimal weight to support the very high-risk operation, which he gains little by little through parenteral feeding or TPN.

It is a great attempt to solve his physiological complexity (the first intervention of several) and to begin to create ways in which he can live a dignified life with the necessary functioning to grow and stay on earth with us.

This is such a unique case that even doctors have found themselves having to look for treatments that for many of them will be the first time applying...and they have basically and they have told us that if the baby comes out of this it is incredible...or for us a miracle.

The next intervention could easily be in 6 months again, and so on, depending on the progress, the next step will be marked.

We are aware that above all the most important thing is the baby's benefit and that this will go as far as God and Kūm decide, we are there to care for, accompany and give him the love to contribute towards a dignified life with improvements always.

As you can imagine, this has been not easy to process for everyone from the baby onwards, such as his mother, father, little sister and those closest to him.

Sustaining this process and caring for the family while life moves forward with its responsibilities has been a great challenge for everyone.

We have been deeply grateful for all those who have shown up to be supportive since without each of them and their contributions we would not know how we would have achieved this.

And so we are listening moment by moment as life guides us to be able to walk through this uncertain time full of many sensations.

So we appreciate any support that can continue to be provided, be it a prayer, a financial contribution or with the resources that contribute to a time in which we will be dedicated to accompanying the family and together we offer that hand of solidarity and love in the growth of baby Kum & Aiawa his big sister.

Contributions will go towards:

* Health costs that vary depending on what happens from time to time, treatments that are not covered by insurance for both KĹ«m and his family, which they have also had to receive, such as the recovery of Sofia's diet, therapeutic support, etc. that are part of contributing towards their well-being to be able to give Kum and Aiawa more stable support.

* Cost of living for the months of recovery since in addition to this being a very complex quarantine, parents are between home and the clinic daily.

These include:

Food, housing, monthly payments, gasoline, parking, basic living expenses, etc.

* In addition to this, they have several projects which are their daily livelihood that they need to keep alive to fulfill the responsibilities already made with the network of people who have these projects and also ensure that they do not let themselves be extinguished while they sustain and live this process, in which volunteers and people who want to contribute their time to them to keep them alive or funds that want to be invested in their growth are also received so that everyone can continue generating a livelihood for all.
