Kum Sunqu was a living example of the magic made possible through love and faith; even within his short life, his story—filled with remarkable and mysterious moments—leaves behind a beautiful memory of the power of love, transcending mere attachment.

He left behind a powerful, profound, and beautiful message—one that will continue to be shared through his memories, as well as through his family, who now need our support to carry forward the legacy he established by being the very first to experience the solidarity of *Weaving Hearts* 

Today, as part of the *Weaving Wisdom* team, we open our hearts to support this family—a family that, after years of community service and facing profound personal challenges, now finds itself in a moment of vulnerability. Through this campaign, we seek to honor their work and provide them with the sanctuary they need to nurture the seed Kum left behind—allowing them to continue healing from their grief and trauma, and enabling them to sustain their social, cultural, and environmental initiatives, thereby continuing to weave this tapestry that benefits us all.

With your contribution, the family will have the resources necessary to sustain themselves and, specifically, to ensure the continuity of the *Tejiendo Corazones* initiative. Born from the memory of their son, Kum, this initiative is dedicated to providing support, connection, and companionship to individuals and families in vulnerable circumstances—a mission rooted in this family's own lived experience, now transformed into a seed of inspiration and love.

The Family’s History and Current Situation

The year-long period of mourning following the passing of their son, Kum—and the 16 months of absolute devotion spent caring for him—has profoundly transformed this family. Despite their unwavering commitment to providing for themselves through various forms of work (whatever was necessary) and their steadfast vocation for service, progressive exhaustion—stemming from chronic and post-traumatic stress—has taken a heavy toll on their holistic health. It has depleted their nervous systems and limited their capacity to work and lead their projects with their customary strength and presence. After months of prioritizing only the most basic expenses, their vital energy and financial resources have reached a critical juncture.

Today, their physical and emotional well-being stands at a critical point: The father suffers from severe sciatica that has, at times, rendered him unable to walk, while the mother contends with chronic full-body pain and episodes of debilitating migraines. Their daughter, nearly four years old, has begun to exhibit symptoms of anxiety, despite their constant efforts to shield her well-being.

They have recently settled into a new community, finding refuge there as a necessary measure for their overall safety due to circumstances beyond their control. These same circumstances have also hindered their access to the foundational resources needed to secure work, engage in labor, and generate income opportunities.

Thus, although helping hands have appeared along their path, they are still weaving the solid community fabric they require—a process in which they are actively consolidating their support network.

Despite these challenges, they maintain a perspective focused on finding beauty amidst the difficulties, engaging in constant personal work to integrate the transformative essence—the "nectar"—of this alchemical situation. They strive to walk the powerful message of love left behind by their son—a message they have lived out as a family—thereby affirming their faith in times of great challenge.

Physical and Emotional Recovery: Initially, providing access to health treatments and a safe environment for Kum's family.

Social Sustainability: Ensuring that the tools and resources of *Tejiendo Corazones* remain accessible to the community.

Team Continuity: Securing the continued presence of the dedicated team of people who sustain these projects.
