Kum Sunqu Born November 12th, 2023, Departed February 2nd, 2025.

 Arrived as a thunderbolt, to be a ray of light and leave a mark on the earth. He brought a message deeper than anyone could fathom. In his short life of 16 months he was a messenger of faith. He came to remind us the Miracle that life is in every moment, beyond achieving any outcome. He touched hearts from all cultures, places, and religions, and connected them in one prayer - the prayer of tending to our broken hearts and weaving our hearts through solidarity even in the midst of the war, to support and accompany one another and remember our souls' mission. 

 

He is a Ray of light that, through smiling even in the midst of the pain, showed us how to live well to die well, to truly be a witness of the gift that every moment is.

He gave messages of precious wisdom while speaking no words, and even in the midst of the most painful challenges, he was a reminder of true joy. He taught us the doorway to bliss is that space between a tear and a smile.

 

Kum will forever be a little Master that came to remind us of the little piece of God we all are, the great vibration of the one that created us all.

 

Kum was held by his loving parents who cared for him, his elder baby sister Aiawa, and both of his grandmas and uncles, who came at important moments to help.

 

For 16 months of endless sleepless days & nights and testing their endurance in every level of their being, exhausted and feeling helpless at times, they still gave their all to provide him the best ,most loving experience possible.

 

Through his voiceless yet loud cry, his parents and sister bore witness to the hardest thing a family could ever encounter.The situation of sustaining Kum in the edge between life and death every moment, with their full presence and heart brought resilience to a whole other level. It impacted them in ways the family is still experiencing, and doing their best to recover from PTSD.

 

While listening for ways for him to recover, they had to move through a journey of surrender to accompany him to die to lifeand return to source, while embracing the mystery of the powerful messages and little miracles they also had the honor to share together, deeper than this human life.

 

These challenges also brought inspiration. During his time on this plane it was clear to his family through the channelings they would receive by connecting with his soul and their direct experience of alchemizing & sustaining this process, that part of the mission was to be continued -  to bring awareness to the importance of tending to families in solidarity.

This is what gave birth to this prayer &  initiative called Weaving Hearts, which is dedicated to providing “Nesting” support systems for people, babies and their families moving through similar vulnerable situations. 

 

Weaving Hearts intends to offer support for these families by connecting them with resources, accompaniment, ancient wisdom, sacred tools, therapeutic sessions, and anything the family may need to be able to face these challenges, so they can feel held and cared for by an intentional community and network of love through their journey.

 

This nectar still carries the family forth, even in the midst of the hardship of integrating this experience. They have slowly been sharing some of the sacred tools they were able to apply to make it through this journey, share Kum’s message, and support others in similar situations.

 

In the navigation of it all, Kum and his family were able to receive a lot of profound, powerful reminders, memories, support, wisdom, and love like no other. Once Kum’s Life came to an end, the family imagined being able to get back on their feet and continue to sustain. They had no idea of the impact that sustaining Kum’s Life had on such an intense physical level. Even after months since his return to source, they are still recovering from the imprint of the demand that it required to care for his life. They see more than ever the importance of this initiative of Weaving Hearts coming to life.

 

When tending to his body his family was able to remember the importance of Gratitude for this vessel that carries our souls in this life, and how our departure is one to be in deep reverence too and a moment to celebrate that human experience, and how his legacy will leave on also by preparing for the moment we depart, so that we may embrace our return honoring every aspect of our existence.

 

He is now a planted seed who will continue to live on in our hearts forever more, giving a voice to many souls who came with a similar message to ripple this act of love. Embracing our eternal essence and our soul’s journey.

Thank you for the unity shown in accompanying baby Kum and our family on the deepest journey of our lives, which we recognize is just a part of the living body that we all are.



Meanwhile, we are letting go, surrendering, and trusting, with every tear, every smile, every moment, every breath.

Our focus is on presence in each shared breath, while we care for him and our daughter Aiawa with total dedication to the process, with all the love and energy that each day demands more of, and learning from each moment what he comes to leave us in the most beautiful fruits we have ever known…

Despite the unimaginable pain and the intensity of this experience, we still feel gratitude for this great gift he give us of allowing us to accompany him.

There are many layers of feeling in this process that we live and will continue to live, and eventually share… in that, we wanted to tell you that this journey to the depths of the heart continues and in that a great call to give our son the best possible experience while he accompanies us on his visit to this plane, and thus honor and give thanks for the offering of life he has given and the treasure of reminding us of pure love.

Kum loves being in nature, and our purpose is to give him what he most enjoys during his time on this earth.

We will continue to let ourselves be guided by him day by day, feeling how these possibilities will manifest through these experiences, and thus live them as a beautiful mourning that draws a beautiful path for when he takes his flight to the stars and back to the great mystery.

So, we appreciate the solidarity of those who can continue supporting and being part of this story, sharing our purpose, and we invite you to co-create these possibilities with us in different ways.

1. We continue praying for Kum's soul and for our family, and all the hearts that are woven into this living body, so that his soul may fly in peace and with all our love and we may have the capacity to bathe in the nectar of what he leaves with his eternal presence.

2. Support our cause and continue sharing to have the resources to sustain this time we have left with him and give him a natural burial. We are still finding out details.

We want to fulfill as much of his will as possible, which is shown as a journey through the special places he will continue to show us he wants to visit.

3. Co-create these experiences with us in different ways, which if they call to you, we can weave possibilities, co-creating a meeting in your community or visiting us are possibilities that we are open to seeing what is naturally woven in this time.

4. Support our initiatives and projects by participating or buying what we have to offer, which is also part of what Kum is leaving as a seed for everyone (such as the virtual circles that we will be sharing in which we will share the teachings that we have integrated from this sacred experience and how to go through these painful processes in the best possible way). Born from the memory of their son, Kum, this initiative is dedicated to providing support, connection, and companionship to individuals and families in vulnerable circumstances—a mission rooted in this family's own lived experience, now transformed into a seed of inspiration and love.



The Family’s History and Current Situation

The year-long period of mourning following the passing of their son, Kum—and the 16 months of absolute devotion spent caring for him—has profoundly transformed this family. Despite their unwavering commitment to providing for themselves through various forms of work (whatever was necessary) and their steadfast vocation for service, progressive exhaustion—stemming from chronic and post-traumatic stress—has taken a heavy toll on their holistic health. It has depleted their nervous systems and limited their capacity to work and lead their projects with their customary strength and presence. After months of prioritizing only the most basic expenses, their vital energy and financial resources have reached a critical juncture.

Today, their physical and emotional well-being stands at a critical point: The father suffers from severe sciatica that has, at times, rendered him unable to walk, while the mother contends with chronic full-body pain and episodes of debilitating migraines. Their daughter, nearly four years old, has begun to exhibit symptoms of anxiety, despite their constant efforts to shield her well-being.

They have recently settled into a new community, finding refuge there as a necessary measure for their overall safety due to circumstances beyond their control. These same circumstances have also hindered their access to the foundational resources needed to secure work, engage in labor, and generate income opportunities.

Thus, although helping hands have appeared along their path, they are still weaving the solid community fabric they require—a process in which they are actively consolidating their support network.

Despite these challenges, they maintain a perspective focused on finding beauty amidst the difficulties, engaging in constant personal work to integrate the transformative essence—the "nectar"—of this alchemical situation. They strive to walk the powerful message of love left behind by their son—a message they have lived out as a family—thereby affirming their faith in times of great challenge.
